“On July 21st I will be taking on my first full distance Ironman Triathlon event in Zurich, Switzerland. This will be years in the making as I have turned my life around from physically and mentally since the sudden passing of my father in 2012.
I overcame alcohol addiction, been sober 7 years and trained for a 4km swim, a 180km cycle and a full marathon run in Zurich this July. I dedicate everything I do now to my dad and as I lost him to a heart attack I am raising as much money as possible for the British Heart Foundatiom and also Mental Health Foundation as this is something very close to my heart. Music and especially pop-punk / emo music shaped my life as a kid and still plays a massive role in my training and life in general.
On July 11th I will be playing an acoustic show jamming all the old classics from 2000 onwards from the likes of The Starting Line, Fall Out Boy, The Used, Finch, Yellowcard and lots, lots more. I will have special guest singers to join me and also the amazing Calum Doris from Bad Luck playing an acoustic set and Sean Campbell DJ'ng the classics in between and after. It's a free show and all I ask is a small donation into the charity buckets on the night. I'm so excited to do this I hope you can all join me in a very special night, 4 days before I fly to Switzerland to take on the biggest challenge of my life.”
