Vukovar + VIDIV + Snide Rhythms

VUKOVAR return unmitigated in the line-up alterations and promoting their new LP "CREMATOR"; the out-living of the shades incarnation, and all the unnatural disasters that go with it, is perhaps the only logical path for this illogical/frenetic/jilting pop act. There were no vital signs anyway. The lineup is unclear. However, based on all previous evidence, whatever happens on the night will be remarkable, for better or for worse... This is Vukovar's THEATRE-OF-CRUELTY.

Vukovar have just released new album 'Cremator', out now on Other Voices Records in Ash-Grey vinyl/CD/cassette. The album is unstable attack of Martial Pop. The 7th LP by Vukovar marks The First Death of the group: the ending of the Shades incarnation/incarceration.

It can be streamed/downloaded/purchased here -

VIDIV - VIDIV are a Glasgow based reclusive collective of artists and musicians with an interest in the esoteric, ritual and occult nature of musical and performance practice. We deploy harsh noise, drone, confession, confrontation and queer eroticism to disrupt traditional music spaces, art spaces and public events without artefact. Featuring P6 (Stretchheads/DeSalvo).

Edinburgh’s Snide Rhythms come from the ‘mind your language’ school of thought. Once described in a long lost despatch as both humble and arrogant, Snide Rhythms want you take a look around you and believe in yourselves, not what you are force-fed by the mass media. Latest LP Welcome To Music Industry Fantasy Land is out now.

"Whether playfully tongue-in-cheek or properly ‘snide’, the album’s title demonstrates their unwillingness to confirm to music industry expectations. Musically, the trio’s post rock harks back to the DIY indie of the 1980s and hissy late night radio, its snaking basslines redolent of Shriekback or A Certain Ratio" - (Stuart McHugh, is this music?)
