Anna Henriksson (Sweden)
Anna lives in Göteborg, but comes from the North of Sweden and is used to those great melancholic and gorgeous landscapes. We can feel it in her music.
Using her voice, guitar and a small drum machine during her live shows; she creates a comfortable space through her beautiful melodies and words for the listener to get lost in.

Vukovar ‡ Holly Hero ‡ Black Clyde and the Tube Disasters

34772260_2528828894008034_6124033793935278080_n.jpg

Not only a live feature of masters-in-extremity Smell & Quim, Holly Hero is also responsible for producing and arranging the most transgressive and subversive S&Q record yet - Spaceshit - with its mires of derangement not coming from where would be expected. It is advisable to avoid research of the group on shared computers.

Vukovar will perform THREE last shows before the First Death of the group. If there has ever been any inclination to pay witness, then these are the last chances to do so of the Shades-Incarnation.

They are/were idealists, voyeurs and totalitarians. Formed in 2014, they have worked with an unusual cast of people, surreal in the reality, to create a jilted new/old 'pop music'.

There is nothing more to be said.

From Glasgow’s folk music hive of activity, the Blas Collective emerged in 2009 as a jam with a few friends.  Since then it has become an eclectic evening of folk, jazz, country, blues and some pop covers too.  Hosted by singers Jenn Butterworth, Laura-Beth Salter and Hamish Napier, expect to hear songs from the heart-wrenchingly sad to the just plain ridiculous.  Joined by fiddler Adam Sutherland, percussionist Steve Forman and often a few other musical pals, the group jam from basic charts and create on-the-spot arrangements, guaranteeing that every night will be a different experience – which is just the way Bloc+ likes it!

Dammit: Aerial Salad + Raging Nathans (USA)

19942765_1853478038302609_8160685838351378078_o.jpg

Dammit Presents:

Aerial Salad.

I’m beyond excited to welcome back the Salad lads for another Bloc party!! Easily one of the hardest working bands in the UK right now, Aerial Salad play catchy, heartfelt punk rock with big singalong hooks. They tore the roof off the bar last year when supporting Wonk Unit in Bloc and I’m certain they will do the same again here! This band will be huge, make sure of that!

Raging Nathans (usa)

Ohio’s Raging Nathans return to the UK after touring with Wonk Unit and Aerial Salad a few months ago. Balls to the wall punk rock that smacks you in the face like a brick covered in spikes. Really long spikes. Don’t let those spikes put you off though, plenty melody and hooks to keep you jumping and having a good time all night long. This’ll be one hell of a punk party!!

...lame...

CONNECTED

"Connected is an original jazz rock group with the music penned by Chris Whitehouse

Fusing influences from Tool, The Mars Volta, Tommy Smith's Karma and Chris Potter's Underground the band’s emphasis is on exciting riffs, twisting time signatures and strong interplay.

Their debut album, Grounded was released in 2014 and the band are currently working newer material for release in the near future. The band will feature Giancarlo Tammaro on Bass, Stephen Maxwell on Guitar and the return of the Mack - Scott Murphy on Tenor Saxophone."

THE ENFORCED SCOTT MURPHY BAND BY JAMES

Forced together by James for easy organising. Who knows what they'll play or whether they'll turn up, as no one will care or check anyway. Gus Stirrat on drums, Scott Murphy on bass, Mark Scobbie on keys and Harold Jimjam on tenor.

Music starts 9:30pm sharp, good craic, pizza and beer!

Fight For Friday + Stolen Wings

Forming in late 2014, UK Pop Punk band Fight For Friday have grown up on music together creating a solid bond and finding their sound. Having toured the UK twice and getting ready to set off for a third time promoting the new EP 'Someone You Could Trust', they are ready to take on the UK scene showing everything they have to offer from the high energy to the deep emotion in their tracks.

Based in Cumbria, they have gained northern support; but with big ambitions of planting themselves as firm leaders in bands coming out of the NorthWest scene.

The band's sound combines classic high energy pop punk rhythmic elements and mature, yet catchy vocal themes to create a more modern sounding brand of Pop Punk similar to bands such as Neck Deep, All Time Low and New Found Glory.

Support from Stolen Wings the solo project of Mark Fraser

Aufbau Principle + Bystandereffect

Screen Shot 2018-07-12 at 11.55.54.png

Formed in late 2017, Aufbau Principle create caustic and doomed out post-punk. Taking influence from the early 80’s dark Manchester sound as well as gothic cinema Aufbau Principle create music from the shards of broken relationships, doomed cityscapes and existential nightmares. Thier second EP, “Abattoir", explores theologic crisis, sex magic, unrequited love and emotional fragility set to abrasive guitar tones, pounding drums and driving basslines.
Aufbau Principle are Kieran Milne, Ruth Switalski, Stefano Pia and Qaiyyum Tajudin.

Support from Bystandereffect - a Glasgow glitch ballad collective.. They combine traditional song structures with bone-shaking bass lines, glitchful beats, twisted synths and manipulated guitars to make a mutated clash of genres. With influences ranging from Atoms for Peace through to Bob Dylan, Bystandereffect occupy the space between the experimental and the traditional.
