For the last six years Bloc+ has been hosting some of the most exciting musical acts on the Scottish and European underground, not to mention bringing over visitors from The States, Brazil, The Far East....

We lean towards alternative music of any genre. By that we only mean, if you sound like James Blunt, Lady Gaga or Creed please look elsewhere. You already have your fair share of places only too desperate to stick you on a stage and milk the gormless public for pennies.

On the other hand, if you're in a band and you're trying to tour, develop your own sound, get heard outside your own back garden and just generally go about your music in a conscientious and thoroughly admirable fashion, please get in touch. We have music on every night of the week and, though you may not be suited to much of it, we will do what we can to find a place for anything we like the sound of.

We'd much prefer a link to online streaming songs over actual MP3's for obvious computer virus reasons. Likewise, if you are able to be specific in the dates you are interested in, or a particular band you fancy supporting, it always helps. Be advised, we generally book months in advance so if you leave it too late there's a good chance the date you're after will be gone.
